MBK Farms produce poultry products ranging from chicken meat (broiler), eggs and chicken litter (manure). Muhammad Sanyang is the General Manager & Poultry Expert of MBK Farms at Lamin Kerewan. The business started humbly with few birds and grew with that to a current capacity of 37,000 birds becoming the biggest Layer Farm in the country. The motive is the huge importation of poultry products into the country and yet the local demand is not being satisfied. There seems to be a huge demand for local poultry products in the country with only a handful of producers in the industry. His aim and ambition are to see that Poultry products are no longer imported into the Gambia and that he becomes the largest producer of poultry products in the Gambia.

MBK provides healthy local poultry products to all irrespective of buyers spending capacity. In the Gambia studies and research has proven that a good percentage of women and children are protein deficiency, and the cost of meat and fish is reasonable on the high side of consumers. MBK, as a result, intervenes to provide healthy and fresh poultry products at a very low price and at the same time-fighting hunger and malnutrition.
